Pause 2

Emotions, hormones, cortisol, etc.  What an amazing job the thyroid does. Hashimoto's is indicative to periods of both hyperthyroid and hypothyroid. That's what makes it so difficult to treat. There is no cure for Hashimoto's Disease. Only treatment. Which is kind of like taking cold medicine for the flu.  Sure, it will help a little bit, but the disease never gets better.  It lasts until death.

  1. Good Morning Nancy,

I can't remember how I found your blog yesterday...but I thank you for writing it. I have been going through years and years of illness with the same thing and I can't believe how identical our stories are...right along with you I have started Erfa Thyroid and am increasing doses slowly...It made me laugh the part about how you say "can this be true?..." and waking up and laying there thinking wow!! I have no aches and pains!! What a horrible nightmare these past 12 years have been and I am having such a hard time getting over that, although I want to be grateful I've finally found some relief. I'm not 100 percent but I feel so much better. So I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to write ....and let you know someone is reading and listening ...and rooting for ya!!

    1. Thank you for posting Colleen!! I'm so glad to know that you've been able to get on Erfa Thyroid and you're feeling better! I still have many "Is this really happening" moments after 5 months on Erfa and I'm grateful for every pain free moment. :)
Thank you for reading my blog and feel free to share it. If this helps just one more person get better, then everything I've done/shared will be worth it. And if we don't get the word out, who will?
      Thank you again! :)
